According to the controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known by his stage name Portable, there is a gang up against certain people in the country’s entertainment industry.

He asserted that a gang up in the film industry was responsible for Ibrahim Chatta’s failure to win an award at the eleventh Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, or AMVCA.

For his performance in “House of GAA,” Chatta received a nomination for Best Lead Actor; however, Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors) took home the prize instead. Chioma Chukwuka, Adebayo’s co-star in “Seven Doors,” took home the Best Lead Actress award as well.

In response, Portable claimed in a video message posted on his Instagram page that Ibrahim Chatta was more worthy of receiving the Best Lead Actor honour. “There is a gang up in the Nigerian entertainment industry, even in Nollywood,” he told his fans. Despite his flawless acting, Ibrahim Chatta was not given an award at the 11th AMVCA.

That’s how The Headies Awards also passed me over. “Awards are unnecessary. We need money and food. We have money, but unlike some people, we are unable to use it to purchase awards. “God will reward you if they don’t, Ibrahim Chatta.

You are my mentor, boss. I cherish you. Remember how Ibrahim Chatta said the same thing in 2023, when he had not yet received an AMVCA nomination? He had alleged that he was the victim of a conspiracy to deny him the award.
