Sayria Spa, the spa owned by BBNaija star Khloe Abiri, has released a statement in response to allegations of sexual assault made by content creator Angelica Kelechi.
It was learnt that on May 21, 2025, the incident allegedly took place at the spa. The spa’s management acknowledged that the client had reserved a surprise spa treatment for her sister and asked for a male therapist, who allegedly performed the massage “professionally” while the two clients were side by side.
Sayria asserts that the client did not show any signs of discomfort during or after the massage, and she and her sister left the spa after spending some time there and tipping the staff ₦25,000: Both clients were satisfied after their treatments, left a N25,000 tip for our staff, and stayed at the spa for a long time before departing.
The statement also disclosed that the male therapist was taken in for interrogation after the client returned later that evening with other people and police officers.
But Sayria claims that the following day, the client voluntarily retracted her complaint in a formal letter: “The client did not inform our management of any discomfort or problems.
On the contrary, she came back later that night with people and police, and our male therapist was arrested for interrogation on suspicion of inappropriate behaviour.
Sayria claims that despite the withdrawal, it has started an internal investigation and suspended the male employees while it waits for the results.
Additionally, the business assured the public that it would not tolerate any kind of client injury: We would like to restate that Sayria Spa has zero tolerance when it comes to safeguarding our customers and the community.
We are still totally dedicated to upholding the greatest standards of safety, professionalism, and client care. According to Khloe and her team, they have contacted the client to convey their concerns and make sure the issue is taken seriously.
The final words of the statement were: “As we strive to maintain a secure, courteous, and reliable environment for everyone, we truly appreciate the understanding and ongoing support of our clients and community.
” This follows the viral success of Angelica’s first post, which included the purported voice note from Khloe that read, “These things happen at a massage,” which many internet users characterised as condescending.
Many people are waiting for more developments as the situation continues to elicit reactions on the internet.
