The Nollywood actress Damilola Adegbite has communicated with her fans. She cautioned her followers that no one owes them anything in an Instagram post following her 40th birthday.

The Nollywood actress, who just celebrated her 40th birthday, said she felt driven to share one of the most important lessons she’s learnt as she’s gotten older.

She feels that this truth can help people overcome heartache, disappointment, and unfulfilled expectations.

In the video that was shot after an event, Damilola disclosed that she realised the message’s impact during a phone call with a friend and made the decision to speak directly to anyone who might need to hear it.

She says realising that no one owes you anything is one of life’s most liberating lessons. Occasionally, the people you came for won’t come for you.

Your efforts will not always be recognised. You might never receive the apology you’re hoping for,” she said. She emphasised that although many people believe that good things will happen to them just because they behave morally, that isn’t always the case in real life.

According to Damilola, people frequently show love and care because they choose to do so rather than because they are required to.

It’s not your right to receive love, care, or attention from someone. They decide to be concerned. “They don’t need to,” she continued.

The actress urged her fans to quit becoming angry when they don’t receive the treatment they anticipate from others. Rather, she said, they should watch, adapt, and continue.

She emphasised the importance of maintaining one’s peace as she ended the video: “Your power lies in your tranquilly.

Just because someone couldn’t meet you where you are doesn’t mean you should give it away.

Online discussions have been triggered by the video, with many people expressing agreement with the message and expressing gratitude to her for the reminder.
