According to reports, Chris Brown was arrested in the UK. In relation to a London nightclub bottle attack, he was taken into custody early Thursday morning at a five-star hotel in Manchester.
The 36-year-old American artist was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police officers at The Lowry Hotel shortly after two in the morning.
Brown was arrested in connection with an alleged assault on music producer Abe Diaw at the Tape nightclub in Hanover Square, Mayfair, on February 19, 2023.
Around three in the morning, Diaw says Brown attacked him without cause at the upscale location. Brown had landed at Manchester Airport the afternoon before, having flown in on a private jet to the UK. Met detectives went to Manchester to make the arrest after The Sun’s enquiries indicated he was in the country.
He was arrested and is reportedly being questioned at a nearby police station. On Thursday, May 15, just after 2:00 p.m., a 36-year-old man was taken into custody at a Manchester hotel on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, according to a Met Police spokesperson.
He is still being held. The arrest is connected to an incident that happened on February 19, 2023, at a location in Hanover Square.
