Due to what they described as ongoing marginalisation by the party leadership, South-East PDP leaders warned Wednesday that a mass defection was imminent.

During the party’s Zonal Executive Committee (ZEC) meeting in Enugu, they issued the warning and called for SKE Ude-Okoye to be officially recognised as the PDP’s National Secretary.
“However, the South East PDP as a family will be forced to reevaluate our relationship with the PDP going forward if our position is not promptly implemented by the Party,” the party stated.
That stance was reiterated by every speaker at the meeting, which was attended by Governor Peter Mbah, Chief Ali Odefa, and others. There will be more.
