Former Barcelona player David Villa believes Lamine Yamal will win the Ballon d’Or. The 17-year-old, who has performed well for Barcelona this season, deserves the Ballon d’Or, according to the former Spain international.
During a public appearance, Villa stated of Yamal (through Barca Universal): “I believe he has performed well, but we shall see.” There are still a few weeks left in the season, and as you are aware, I have never had much faith in them for this award. “He will definitely win it one day.
” Yamal’s performances for the Catalan club this season have made him one of the favourites to win the Ballon d’Or this year.
The winger has already won the Copa del Rey with Barcelona and has shown great promise for Hansi Flick’s team thus far this season.
